Isabella turning 8!

This year I have taken on many new challenges! Isabella has inspired me to start making homemade pickles and jams, (none of which she has ever tried from me nor the stores, but thought it was "neat"...) sewing quilts, making her birthday dress! It has been an experience to say the least! I have found it quite exciting and relaxing! Many people have asked me why, and I reply, 'Simply because Isabella has asked me how and why these things have stopped over time.' These are things everyone should know how to do. Since Isabella is getting older she has taught me that there is more out there than what a store can buy you! These activities have been a great bonding time for us! She even asked her Bestie Bai to come learn how to make marmalades! So we did it! It was exciting to see their faces light up from doing something so basic and easy! To be a 4H leader, to teach her and her peers how to do Arts & Crafts, I may not be the best at it but I try, and thats all that really matters according to her!
I simply can't believe my little girl is turning 8 years old in a week and a half! She has taught more than I could have ever imagined! I am so blessed for her and the things she has taught me in a mere 8yrs!

Wow! Life is just whizzing right along...

Life has been so busy and wonderful! Lets start with the kids...

Isabella~ She is simply blossoming! Since joining 4H, she has grown in so many ways, she has more self confidence, socially theres a huge growth, getting the courage to try new things such as doing a presentation in front of people she has never meet, doing animal showmanship and giving 100%! Everyday I learn something new about her, whether it be school, personal growth, an insecurity, what makes her thrive, and discovering her passion for life and animals especially the one that are close to being gone forever! Such as the Cheetahs, rare poultry, elephants, and many more! (If I keep typing the computer would be on an animal freeze!). She is changing into a young lady with fashion in one hand and girl drama in the other! Everyday is an adventure with her! Her 4H projects this year for animals is Rabbits and Poultry. Her rabbits are; a Black Dutch Sr Buck, Hail a Solid Holland Lop, Slicky. Her poultry thus far is 2 pullets (young hens) Frisky B and Cheecky, and a cockerel Prince Charming. She has picked a name for her little 4H farm name, Lucky Feathers Farm! So cute!

Vance~ He is all over EVERYTHING! He still wants me to be there for every little discovery, his personality is going to be a charmer, go getter! Chatting up a storm, forming sentences! Growing taller & taller! He wears a size 24mo pants at 17mos! He is kinda leaving the cuddling stage especially since he stopped nursing a few months back! Today was the first time in a while that he crawled up into my lap and just hugged me for what felt like forever! I loved every minute of it too!

As for Vince & I... We are up to lots of kids stuff. So, trying to find time for us can be a challenge! Luckily we have found a great kiddlet sitter as Cyn calls herself! So we have enjoyed a few short outing in the past 5 or 6 weeks which have been wonderful!

Last week I got a long over due tattoo to celebrate my remission from Ovarian Cancer 15 years! It is so gorgeous! Mike Bennet from Faith Tattoo did an amazing job! Mike also started Vince's back tattoo today! It is a huge piece and is going to take a few months to complete! It covers his life in the way of he has found the right path /direction. I am thankful, that the kids and I are apart of that right path!

Happy Spring everyone!
